J.C. Watts is the 2011 Isabella Cannon Distinguished Visiting Professor of Leadership.

Watts will give a speech titled “Leadership Lessons from the Sidelines and Aisles of Congress” in McCrary Theatre on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a question and answer session in Whitley Auditorium on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m.

Watts is a former Republican congressman from Oklahoma.

The visiting professor program, started in 2004, brings nationally recognized authorities to campus to share insights about the nature, potential and responsibilities of leadership. The visiting professor spends a few days to a week on campus, teaching classes and giving public lectures.
